Broudy Printing is proud to announce our qualification as a G7™ Master Printer! The G7™ practice is a proof- to- print process developed by IDEAlliance, an established industry organization that works to develop, educate and validate advanced specifications, ISO 12647 print, standards and best practices in publishing and information technology.
New USPS Booklet Sealing Requirements
On September 8th, new U.S. Postal Service regulations will take effect creating a new Booklet class of self-mailers. The regulations include new specifications for booklet size, paper weight and sealing options for machinable, automation letter-size booklets.
New Address Requirements for Automation Flats
Effective March 29, 2009, the US Postal Service adopted new address placement and formatting requirements for flat-size pieces sent at automation, presorted, or carrier route prices.
Failure to meet the new placement requirements can result in disallowing all automation and presort discounts, which means single piece first class rates, based on weight, will apply.

Broudy achieves FSC Certification
We have always known that our environment is something to be treasured and preserved. As printers, we have felt a growing responsibility to care for our environment. Our customers have expressed their concern for the environment, looking for a method to show their customers a responsiveness to the need for conservation. To address this concern Broudy has earned the FSC certification.
Broudy is proud to have been awarded the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification. We are now certified by the SmartWood™ division of the Rainforest Alliance to the FSC Chain-of-Custody manufacturing and material handling guidelines. Broudy’s FSC Chain-of-Custody certificate number is SW-COC-003168, which is audited on an annual basis.

What is the HP Indigo Press?
The HP Indigo Press 5000 uses a type of electronic printing that evolved from electrophotography and offset printing. It combines the technology of digital data, laser imaging, and traditional offset printing.
HP Indigo digital printing is known as “Digital Offset Color” and it is used in many printing markets – short-run color printing, book publishing, packaging, and personalizing brochures for target markets, to name a few. The press is designed for run lengths of 1 – 3,000 impressions and can print 1 – 7 colors on each side of a 12″-x 18″ sheet in one pass through the press.

Pittsburgh, PA – 8-21-06 – Broudy Printing of Pittsburgh was awarded a Benny, the highest honor in the 2006 Premier Print Awards, for their entry Boy Scouts of America Annual Report.The Premier Print Awards, the graphic arts industry’s largest and most prestigious worldwide printing competition, recognizes outstanding achievement in print production. Broudy Printing Inc. received their “Benny” for Business and Annual Reports.
The Premier Print Awards are the printing industry’s oldest and largest worldwide graphic arts competition, hosted by PIA/GATF. In its 57th year, the annual contest recognizes those responsible for the creation and production of print communications. The event promotes excellence in print communications and rewards companies and individuals who produce the very best in print media.
This year, over 5500 entries were received from printing and graphic arts firms from around the world, and judges awarded the Benny to the top entry in each category.
Michael Makin, president and CEO of PIA/GATF said, “The Benny winners represent the best our industry has to offer. And in 2006, it was extremely competitive as there were hundreds more entries from companies in 18 countries. Despite the fierce competition Broudy Printing, through hard work and dedicated craftsmanship, produced a piece worth of the Benny.”
Broudy Printing will receive their Benny The Premier Print Gala, which honors all the companies that had the top award conferred upon them. The 2006 Gala is scheduled for Sunday October 15 at the Chicago Hilton, Chicago, IL

Broudy Printing Receives 2 Awards of Recognition in Worldwide Print Competition
Pittsburgh, PA – July 2, 2005 – Broudy Printing of Pittsburgh, PA received 2 2005 Premier Print Awards for outstanding achievement in the production of Printing. The graphic arts industry’s largest and most prestigious worldwide printing competition, hosted by PIA/GATF, the Premier Print Awards recognizes those responsible for the creation and production of outstanding print communications. Broudy Printing won an Award of Recognition for both the Romoff Holiday Card and the Carnegie Hero Fund Book.
Competing against more than 5,200 entries from printing and graphic arts firms around the world, the judges bestowed on Broudy Printing the award which honors the top finalists in each category of the competition. Just 313 of the Award of Recognition were distributed in this year’s competition.
